The Advancing Technology program for student technology helpers consists of these three elements:
General tech support duties: Students assist the school technology staff with providing basic support to staff and students, and helping with ongoing projects.
Student-driven project: Students derive a project in a chosen area of technology, with an aim of advancing the educational use of technology in the school. Technology staff provide time, materials, equipment, space, and support to the student. Students record progress on their blog pages.
NASA team: Students participate in NASA's Space Settlement Design Competition in the spring. The competition takes place at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.
